Marry The Dream

Divas R Frugal we have been together since 2009. We have had our ups and downs but have remained connected. You have remained loyal even through the other blogs that tried to take your place. Truth be told, you are more than just a blog. You have a purpose that goes far beyond me. You are here to detail the journey of me becoming debt free and becoming frugal in all areas of life. Our overall goal is to let people know that they are not alone in financial debt and the everyday stresses of life. We will also provide valuable information, through basic money management tips, so that people do not have to make the same mistakes that we made. There is light at the end of the tunnel.

The greatest thing that I have been reminded of over the last couple of days is that ITS NOT ABOUT ME

I have taken many steps in the last few weeks to give you the things that you really deserve. I have officially moved you from Blogger over to WordPress and you love it. We now have a host company through BlueHost. I have revived your email list through MailChimp so that we can spread all of the good news to our VIP list. I have brainstormed some great Freebies to share with our VIP list. Our first letter will go out at the end of the month. Your readers will have the chance to see your content frequently through our new connection with Hootsuite. Diva, you also have your own Amazon Store! This will allow your readers to have direct and quick access to all of the things that you love at a frugal price.

Now that I have told you all that I have done, here is what we as a unit will do to ensure that we have a purposeful lifetime together:

  • Prep and plan content in advance to remain ahead.
  • Read valuable information that will help us as well as our readers
  • Practice great time management skills with the use of our planners. Every Minute counts.
  • Remain thankful for what we have and the journey that we are on
  • Practice consistency in all areas of life. Consistency is what will keep us!
  • Remain unique to who we are. There are a bunch of personal finance bloggers out but none like us
  • Invest where we can as we become financially fit ( invest in webinars and e -courses for further development)
  • Obtain a blog coach within the next year
  • Attend FinCon 2016
  • Repurpose content by video
  • Provide free webinars by June 2016
  • Provide Webinars and Coaching services by 2017

I have come in contact with some great women on Social Media. Myleik Teele, Mattie James, Maya Elious, and Nicole Walters have been dropping diamonds, not just any gems but Diamonds. If you do not know them, you should! I don’t just sit and watch them; I take their advice and put it into practice. They are our supporters and want us to win. I asked God to send me a mentor and he has consistently sent me people who are virtual. Not what I had in mind, but I am more than appreciative. They have given me the needed boost to make you, Divas R Frugal, happy for a lifetime.

The greatest thing that I have been reminded of over the last couple of days is that ITS NOT ABOUT ME. I have thought about changing your name to include my name many times. It never felt right in my spirit, I could never leave you. It’s not about La Shaun, it’s about those who will be helped by our story. Our story is nothing to be ashamed of. Someone needs to meet us and hear what we have to offer from our point of view.

Divas R Frugal, I love you. Thank you for being here with me through it all, you are the real MVP. I would love for you continue this journey with me. Divas R Frugal will you marry me?

Here is a video version of this post:

This is an entry to a challenge/contest that Mattie James of Mattieologie.com presented to her viewers this week.

I loved the idea of writing this post. How will you married your dream? Tell me three ways in which you plan to accomplish your dreams? If financial, what steps have you completed to save a dollar or make extra money to eliminate a bill?
