Save while you shop| Top 5 Saving Apps

I love to shop and save at the same dang time!!! The best way to accomplish that for me has been having access to different apps that I can download on my phone and have handy when out and about. It is best practice to check your savings apps before you start your trip.

1.Retail Me Not

Retail Me Not has also saved me a lot of coins, especially during the holiday season. This app has a directory of in store and online coupons for stores where you already shop. I went into Charming Charlie’s recently and saw that Retail Me Not had a coupon that the store failed to mention. This saved me about $10.00.

2.Ebates

Before you go to your favorite online store, SIGN UP for Ebates first! Ebates gives you instant cash back on your purchases. The site and app are super easy to use. After signing into Ebates locate the store you want to make a purchase from. Make the purchase as you normally would. If the store has coupons, use them. You can use online store deals to save even more on your purchase. You will receive a percentage back in cash on your purchase. The percentage back depends on the store and how generous Ebates is that day. I have seen where Ebates has doubled their offers. This is great if you are purchasing big-ticket items. Sign up here and get started with instant savings!

3.Cartwheel

Cartwheel is provided through Target. I love me some target lol. I scan this app to see if there are any savings on the items that I intend on purchasing. I brought a couple of shirts recently and Cartwheel had the shirts at like 10% off. I have seen offers up to 50% on this app. Click on the offers that you wish to use and click add. When checking out, show the cashier the barcode located in the app. Enjoy a few saved dollars.   You can use the deals on the app in combination with target coupons.

4. Groupon

I have used Groupon for parking when I take trips. I have saved close to $100 in parking using this app. Put in your zip code or city after you download the app or visit the website. You will then see tons of deals in your area. There are categories for restaurants, tech, beauty, travel, etc. After you find a deal you want, purchase it and print the deal out. All of the deals have an expiration date for you to redeem the offer you choose. Some items and services are also limited so they may not be there a month after you see them for the 1st time. I love Groupon. I use it locally and when traveling.

5. Shopkick

you have to work a little to get benefits from this app. I promise you won’s break a sweat. Different kicks are offered at different stores. You do not have to buy anything to gain the benefits of this app. The work comes in after you get into the store. Lets use my favorite store Target as an example. When you walk into Target you will get instant kicks. You will get a message that reads “Hi, ( your name)” and the total number of kicks you receive will be displayed. You will then be able to earn additional kicks by scanning items in the store that are listed in the app under the store that you are in. This is where the work comes in. You do not have to purchase anything that you scan. I scan pampers all the time ( I rarely have a reason to purchase pampers). Sometimes after you scan an item you will be asked to complete a super quick survey. You don’t have to complete the survey but its nice to give feedback. After you have earned your first 500 kicks you will be able to redeem a gift card from your favorite store. I have earned over 4,000 kicks and don’t plan to redeem them until the end of the year. Sign up for free and start shop-kicking with me.  I will receive additional kicks after you sign up. You will do the same when you tell your great friends about this app.

This post is not sponsored. I actually use these apps on a regular basis.

So, what are your fav apps to use when shopping?

  1. I am all about frugality, especially with gift giving season rapidly approaching. I’m familiar with retail me not and groupon, but the other three are new to me. I will definitely be adding them to my Arsenal! Thank you!! #blmgirl

    1. Thanks for stopping by. I am glad that you found some new apps to use :).

    1. How far have you traveled using Groupon? I have seen their trade deals but I am afraid that I will leave the country and end of in a horrible situation.
