Saving is a touchy topic for some. It has always been a goal for me. At times saving feels unattainable due to life’s circumstances. I have learned that you can infect save. It is possible. You just need to save what you have. This may be $5.00 or $50.00 a pay period. It all depends on what you personally are able to do. Don’t let anyone tell you that it is not good to save. Here are 3 reasons of why saving makes sense to me.
1. Rainy Day Fund is a life saver
We have all been told to save for a rainy day. Most of us don’t do this for various reasons. Then when Stuff hits the fan we wish that we had saved for that “rainy day”. I had this thought recently. I was in transition between jobs and found myself with no money for about an hour. I had not received my first check from my new job and had not received my final check from my last job. I was OVER IT and PISSED. Not just at my previous employer but also at myself for not having savings like I should. After that hour of craziness I was able to go to my previous employer to pick my check up ( it was there all along and no one told me until I called about it lol). Anyway, If my final check was not available I would have been in the HOLLEE. So that moment on I decided to save, save, save. I have saved in the past but usually something comes up and its all gone. Well that cannot happen again. I will have a saving for rainy days and every other type of crazy day that come about.
2. Money looks good in the bank
Just what I said. I like to see them dollar signssss. I love seeing money in the bank and in my wallet that is mine. Sallie Mae can’t have it and neither can Discover Card lol. It’s all mine. If I let it sit there then it will be there to handle that Rainy Day Fund.
3. Saving teaches discipline.
You have to be disciplined to save money. It is not easy for some. Set a goal, stick with it and watch your money grow.
