I went to spin class on Monday with a co worker. I have been meaning to attend this class but was kinda scared lol. I just knew it would be painful because it looks intense. I was totally wrong!! It was intense but no pain. I felt fine after class. The bike caused a little soreness but nothing unbearable. The class was intense and I had to coach myself through it. I realized that I would have got off that bike if I wasn’t in a class full of people lol. I actually think that taking group fitness classes at the gym are sometimes a much better choice than working out alone. Here is why:
1. I am more likely to complete my full workout. I will feel stupid walking out half way through the class. I have thought about it but never actually did it.
2. There is encouragement from the instructor, classmates,and myself. When I workout alone I am my only cheerleader ( which is often not good at 5am when I want to complete an hour workout). Being around others help.
3.Classes can be fun!! Meet new people and have fun.
I have a pretty cheap gym membership at this time. I love that I can attend classes for free with the membership. I have a variety of classes I can take that are offered at reasonable times.
